About This Breach
In August 2018, the official online platform for the Sociedad Aragonesa de Cardiologia, a medical society for cardiology based in Spain, experienced a data breach impacting nearly 75,000 records. The compromised data contained around 25,000 unique email addresses and bcrypt or PBKDF2 hashed passwords. The records were posted on a popular hacking forum.
