About This Breach
In April 2022, EPal (epal.gg), a United States-based gaming and social companion platform where users hire companions to play games with them or provide social and entertainment services, was affected by a data breach exposing approximately 1.1 million order records belonging to around 108,900 unique email addresses. The exposed data contained the email addresses and usernames of both the buyers and the companions (sellers) who fulfilled the orders, along with purchase and order details such as the games or services ordered and account registration dates. No passwords were included, and the records were distributed via Telegram.
