In August 2018, EquitiesTracker, a now defunct Singaporean financial education platform, experienced a breach affecting nearly 12,000 records. Around 8000 unique email addresses and either plaintext or MD5 hashed passwords were leaked. The information was shared on a popular cybercrime forum.
