In August 2018, Free@Korea, a now defunct South Korean tourism platform aimed at Taiwanese travelers, suffered a data breach involving over 31,000 records. The exposed data included around 30,000 unique email addresses and MD5 hashed passwords. The compromised dataset was posted on a prominent hacking forum.
