About This Breach
In August 2020, the workout tracking app Jefit experienced a data breach, with the compromised data being sold within the hacking community. The breach exposed over 9 million user records, containing emails, IP addresses, usernames, birthdays, social media IDs, and passwords stored as either vBulletin or argon2 hashes. Following the breach, several million cracked passwords surfaced and were widely circulated.
