About This Breach
In January 2021, MasedWorld (masedworld.net), a Russian Minecraft game server, suffered a data breach that exposed approximately 1.6 million player records. The data was stored by the server's AuthMe authentication plugin and included usernames, IP addresses and salted SHA-256 password hashes. No email addresses were stored by the server. The records were subsequently distributed via Telegram.
