About This Breach
In July 2019, MGM Resorts detected a data breach within one of their cloud services, revealing 10.6 million guest records, including 3.1 million distinct email addresses dating back to 2017. By May 2022, an expanded dataset, totaling nearly 25 million unique email addresses within 142 million entries, circulated widely on Telegram. Upon investigation, it appears highly probable that this data originated from the same incident, as 142 million records from the breach had been previously identified for sale on a dark web marketplace in mid-2020. The compromised information encompasses email and physical addresses, names, phone numbers, and dates of birth.
