About This Breach
In June 2024, a massive amount of data from the spyware company mSpy was leaked by hacktivists and made publicly available. The breach included 142GB of user data and support tickets, along with 176GB of attachments. Among the exposed data were 2.4 million unique email addresses, IP addresses, names, and photos. Most of the compromised information came from support tickets in which users sought help with installing the spyware on target devices. The attachments contained sensitive data such as screenshots of financial transactions, credit card photos, and even nude selfies. This highlights the need for stringent cybersecurity practices, especially for companies dealing with personal and highly sensitive information.
