About This Breach

In April 2019, a Poland-based online forum dedicated to the MMORPG Tibia and its private server scene ("OpenTibia" or OTS) suffered a data breach affecting 300,271 users. The compromised data included email addresses and plaintext passwords. Since the passwords were stored in plaintext, users were left especially vulnerable to account takeover, credential stuffing, and phishing attempts—both on this forum and any other platforms where the same credentials were reused.
