About This Breach

In April 2024, a breach involving the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was discovered on a well-known hacking forum. The breach reportedly contained their entire database of critical infrastructure contacts globally, totaling around 15 million records, with approximately 13 million unique entries. The exposed data included full names, email addresses and domains, company names and addresses, job titles, ZIP codes, and physical addresses. However, the EPA stated that there has been no breach of their data, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and FBI confirmed that the information was already publicly available.
