In January 2020, the "compare anything" mobile app Wishbone experienced yet another data breach, adding to the one it faced in 2016. This breach led to the exposure of a significant volume of personal data, comprising nearly 10 million unique email addresses, along with names, phone numbers, geographic locations, and various other personal details. The leaked information was widely disseminated online. Additionally, the breach also disclosed passwords stored as unsalted MD5 hashes.
