Resetting your password
How to reset a forgotten LeakedSource password or change your current one, and how to pick a strong replacement.
Forgot your password?
- Go to the password reset page (also linked from the login page).
- Enter the email address on your account.
- We'll email you a secure reset link — click it and choose a new password.
The link expires after a short time for security. If it has expired, just request a new one. If no email arrives within a few minutes, check your spam folder and confirm you entered the address your account is registered under.
Changing your password while signed in
If you know your current password and simply want to change it, go to Settings → Edit Info, where you can set a new password after confirming your current one.
Signed up with Google or Microsoft?
If you created your account with social login, you may not have a password yet. You can set one under Settings so you can also sign in directly with email and password.
Choosing a strong password
You run breach scans — you've seen what leaks. Practice what the results preach:
- Use a unique password that you don't use on any other site.
- Longer is stronger: a passphrase of several random words beats a short complex string.
- Let a password manager generate and remember it.
- After resetting, enable two-factor authentication if you haven't already.
