Search types: email, username, phone, IP, and domain
The five ways to search LeakedSource and when to use each one.
LeakedSource supports five search types, each suited to a different question.
Email address
The most common search. Checks your email against all indexed breaches and shows every source where it appears. Start here.
Username
Finds breaches containing a specific username. Useful if you use a consistent handle across services — a breach of one forum can expose the username you use everywhere.
Phone number
Searches for your phone number across breach data. Phone numbers exposed in breaches fuel SIM-swapping attacks and phishing texts, so it's worth knowing if yours is out there.
IP address
Checks whether an IP address appears in breach records or stealer logs. An IP hit in a stealer log can indicate that a device on that network was infected with credential-stealing malware. Homepage scans automatically include an IP check alongside the email check.
Domain
Searches for all breached records associated with an email domain (e.g. yourcompany.com). This is the go-to for businesses checking organizational exposure — one search reveals every employee account that has appeared in a breach. Full domain search and monitoring are part of the Business plan; see Domain monitoring for businesses.
Daily search limits
Free accounts get 5 searches per day, Pro accounts get 20, and Business accounts get 100. Limits reset daily.
