In August 2018, Acquanalyst, an online platform under the University of Zaragoza in Spain providing engineering software for water network modeling and water quality analysis, sustained a data breach impacting nearly 8000 records. The exposed information included more than 6000 email addresses and SHA256 hashed passwords. The data was posted on a prominent hacking forum.
