In August 2018, the now defunct online platform for Allure Makeup Artistry, a United States based hair and makeup salon, suffered a data breach affecting over 125,000 records. The exposed information included around 12,000 unique email addresses and passwords stored either in plaintext or hashed using MD5. The data was posted on a popular cybercrime forum.
