In 2016, a vast database comprising more than 33 million profiles of corporate individuals in America, obtained from Dun & Bradstreet's NetProspex service, was exposed on the internet. According to D&B, the targeted marketing data appeared to have been inadvertently leaked by a customer who had acquired it from their platform. The leaked information encompassed comprehensive personal and corporate details, such as names, email addresses, job titles, and general employer information.
