About This Breach
In approximately January 2020, the customer engagement tool RocketText, owned by Joseph Garcia, suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of 32 million entries. The compromised data included email addresses, home addresses, IP addresses, genders, ethnicities, and phone numbers, along with their respective carriers. RocketText has since rebranded itself under the name "LaunchSMS" and was previously known as "ApexSMS." This large-scale breach exposed highly sensitive data, heightening privacy concerns for the affected users.
