About This Breach
In March 2021, the social networking app Liker (liker.com) suffered a data breach that exposed approximately 465,000 user records. The compromised data included email addresses, usernames, first and last names, dates of birth, IP addresses and bcrypt password hashes. Security questions and answers were also reportedly stored in plain text. The breach, said to have been carried out in retaliation for earlier incidents involving other social platforms, took the service offline shortly afterwards. The records were subsequently distributed via Telegram.
