In May 2024, the spyware service pcTattletale experienced a data breach that resulted in the defacement of its website and the posting of tens of gigabytes of data on its homepage. The breach allegedly occurred because pcTattletale did not respond to a prior security vulnerability report. The exposed data included membership records, names of infected PCs, captured messages, and extensive logs of IP addresses and device information.
