About This Breach
In April 2018, it was revealed that the Vietnamese company VNG had suffered a massive data breach. The breach, which occurred in May 2015, involved over 163 million customer records and was discovered being traded on a popular hacking forum, where it was widely redistributed. The compromised data included usernames, birth dates, genders, home addresses, unsalted MD5 hashes, and 25 million unique email addresses.
