About This Breach
In April 2026, Pitney Bowes, the global shipping, mailing and financial technology company, was affected by a data breach as part of the ShinyHunters extortion campaign targeting Salesforce environments. After an employee was phished, the attackers accessed its Salesforce CRM and exfiltrated approximately 8.2 million unique email addresses along with first and last names, phone numbers and physical addresses belonging to both customers and employees. The data was exported from Salesforce objects (customer contacts, person accounts and support cases) and the internal user directory. No passwords were included. The records were distributed via Telegram by the threat actor group ShinyHunters.
