About This Breach
In May 2026, Sysco, the global foodservice distribution company, was affected by a data breach as part of the ShinyHunters extortion campaign targeting Salesforce environments. The breach exposed approximately 2.7 million records (around 2.6 million unique email addresses), including email addresses, first and last names, phone numbers, dates of birth, job titles and physical addresses belonging to both customers and employees. The data was exported from Sysco Salesforce CRM objects (customer contacts, marketing subscriptions, feedback surveys) and internal user directories. No passwords were included. The records were distributed via Telegram by the threat actor group ShinyHunters.
