About This Breach
In May 2025, a database containing approximately 9.4 million records of Russian mobile telecommunications customers was leaked and distributed via Telegram. The data was split into files by geographic region and aggregated subscribers across multiple Russian carriers, predominantly MTS (Mobile TeleSystems) but also including MegaFon, Beeline (VimpelCom), Tele2, and numerous smaller operators. The exposed records contained phone numbers, full names, dates of birth, gender, carrier and region of registration, along with numeric subscriber/tax identifiers. No passwords or email addresses were included. The records were distributed on Telegram by the channel @TheDataleak.
