In early 2026, Sharif University of Technology, a major public research university in Tehran, Iran, had a directory of its faculty and staff leaked and distributed via a Telegram channel. The exposed data contained approximately 775 individuals' institutional usernames, full names, academic departments, university email addresses, personal homepage URLs, and gender. The records were originally harvested from the university's administrative directory (sina.sharif.edu / admin.sharif.edu) and were circulated among breach-trading Telegram channels.
