In August 2018, UW Photo Challenge, a Hong Kong based platform for a global underwater photography contest, experienced a data breach involving around 20,000 unique records. The compromised data contained email addresses and MD5 hashed and salted passwords. The dataset was posted on a prominent hacking forum.
