About This Breach
In 2019, a large database of VKontakte (VK) user profiles — VK being Russia's largest social-networking platform — was compiled and distributed via Telegram. The database contained approximately 9.6 million early-era user profiles and exposed VK user IDs, full names, genders, relationship statuses, home cities, education and employment histories and personal website / homepage links. No passwords, email addresses or phone numbers were included. The records were distributed on a Telegram breach channel.
