In July 2018, Apollo Caster, a United States based ecommerce platform specializing in casters, wheels, and related parts, suffered a data breach affecting nearly 12,000 unique records. The exposed information included email addresses and passwords stored either as bcrypt hashes or MD5 hashed and salted. The compromised data was later shared on a popular hacking forum.
