In August 2018, Cal-Royal Products, a US based industrial hardware ecommerce platform, experienced a data breach affecting nearly 9000 records. The exposed data included close to 8000 unique email addresses and either bcrypt hashed, MD5 hashed, or plaintext passwords. The compromised information was later posted on a popular hacking forum.
