About This Breach
In March 2026, CFGI, a financial consulting and accounting advisory firm, was affected by a data breach as part of the ShinyHunters "pay-or-leak" extortion campaign targeting Salesforce environments. The breach exposed approximately 248 thousand records (around 243 thousand unique email addresses) drawn from the firm's Salesforce CRM, including both external corporate contacts and internal employee accounts. The compromised data included email addresses, names, phone numbers, job titles, employers and physical mailing addresses. No passwords were included. The records were distributed via Telegram after CFGI declined to pay the ransom.
