In August 2018, Grandpa's Art, a US based ecommerce platform selling art prints, figurines, and other artworks with a focus on African American artists, experienced a data breach affecting nearly 11,000 records. The exposed information included close to 10,000 unique email addresses and either PHPass MD5 hashed and salted passwords. The compromised data was later shared on a popular hacking forum.
