In August 2018, GyL Enterprise, an Argentina based ecommerce platform specializing in custom themed merchandise such as shirts, mugs, and mousepads, suffered a data breach involving around 7000 records. The exposed information included over 6000 unique email addresses and MD5 hashed passwords. The compromised data was later shared on a prominent hacking forum.
