About This Breach
In August 2024, ICICI Bank's eToll / FASTag platform — the system used to issue and manage electronic toll (FASTag) tags for vehicles in India — had a customer database exposed and distributed through a Telegram channel. The leak contained roughly 633,000 customer lead records. The exposed data included full names, mobile numbers, email addresses, Indian PAN (Permanent Account Number) national tax identifiers, dates of birth, residential addresses, postal codes and vehicle registration details. The records were posted for distribution on a Telegram channel.
