About This Breach
In August 2022, Network Contacts, an Italian business-process-outsourcing and customer-management (contact centre / CRM) company based in Molfetta (network-contacts.it), had a large volume of its internal corporate files stolen and published on the Industrial Spy data-extortion marketplace. The leak, totalling several hundred gigabytes, consisted of the company's own internal file share: employment contracts, payroll and leave records, apprenticeship registers and per-employee HR document folders, together with an internal personnel-roster database. The structured records exposed the company's staff, including full names, Italian fiscal codes (codice fiscale) and corporate email addresses. The data was distributed via the Industrial Spy marketplace and its associated Telegram channel.
