About This Breach
A database containing the personal records of customers of a Bulgarian insurance company was distributed via a Telegram breach-trading channel (BLACK MARKET 1337). Each record included the individual's Bulgarian national identity number (EGN), full name in both Cyrillic and Latin script, date of birth, gender, full postal address (city, region and street), postal code, and, for a small subset, a telephone number. The data identifies Bulgarian consumers and is highly sensitive owing to the presence of national identity numbers and dates of birth. No precise breach or compromise date has been established; the date reflects when the file was obtained from the Telegram channel.
