In 2025, a database containing the personal records of residents of the Chuvash Republic (Chuvashia), a federal subject of Russia, surfaced and was distributed through a Telegram channel. The dataset exposed full names, dates of birth, places of birth and residential addresses, together with Russian identity-document details — internal-passport and residence-permit series and numbers, the issuing authority and the issue date. No passwords, email addresses or online credentials were present. The records were posted for distribution on a breach-trading Telegram channel.
