About This Breach
In 2019, a database containing the civil and ration-card registry of Iraqi citizens was leaked and distributed via Telegram. The Microsoft Access database (IRAQI.accdb), organized by ration-distribution center, family and individual, exposed approximately 6.2 million citizen records drawn from Iraq's Public Distribution System (ration card) and civil-registration records. The compromised data included citizens' full names (given, father's and grandfather's names), dates of birth, family relationships, governorate of residence, and civil-registry identification numbers (registration office, ledger, page and record). The records affect citizens of all ages, including minors, and were distributed on a Telegram breach channel.
