About This Breach
In August 2024, the website of Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Kota Makassar — the communications and information technology department of the Makassar city government in South Sulawesi, Indonesia — was compromised and its WordPress database exposed. The leaked data contained departmental staff account credentials (email addresses, usernames and phpass-hashed passwords) together with website contact-form and e-government application-registration submissions and blog comments, exposing the names, email addresses, telephone numbers and IP addresses of staff and site visitors. The database was distributed via Telegram. No precise compromise date has been established; the date reflects when the file was observed.
